A multi-country production requires a solid setup, and Landscape has unlocked new barriers.
It takes a village to make film production come true. What not everybody knows is that the key to a smooth result is focusing on connection and support. To picture this now-know lesson, Motorola chose Magma to develop a challenging multi-country campaign, and having the Landscape ecosystem to count made a briefing turn into a successful production system.
The shortened budget was a liability at first. Afterall, connecting schedules in São Paulo, Madrid and Tokyo is always going to be a bold move. Magma, then, opened the task to the Landscape facilities. By activating its ecosystem, it was possible not only to overcome the financial barrier, but doing it with expertise, systematic help and dynamic. In a matter of days, contacts everywhere were called into the project to contribute. By negotiating shared equipment packages across continents and building a single cloud-based workflow, everyone, everywhere, were in simultaneous creative flow.
More important than numbers,
though, was flow.
— Manuel Nogueira
This highly prepared team of producers, assistants, logistics team, and many other fundamental roles, shared the core of every production: a united finish line, guided then by director Manuel Nogueira, from MAGMA. When Motorola briefed Matter and Energy and Mr. Nogueira, they expected excellence. That is why crews fluent in Manuel’s bold cinematic language came together to enrol better solutions for expenses in low-impact costs, making them become high-value screen moments.
Ultimately, but not least, further the success of the campaign, there is another list of outcomes worth sharing. First, 16 shooting days got compressed into 9, without losing a single frame of a vision. Second, 30% on savings on travel and freight through consolidated cargo and local alliances. Finally, zero downtime despite three time-zones due to organization: São Paulo could review Madrid dailies while Tokyo was still rolling. By connecting trusted local vendors to MAGMA’s standards —and by supporting them with clear creative intent— Landscape made every director's and agency dream come true: ability to chase moments, not logistics.
